Domaine Ortola - The Hand of Man - 2018

Domaine Ortola - The Hand of Man - 2018

€15.90Price

Man's hand is the most pampered cuvée of Domaine Ortola: 40-year-old vines of average age, manual harvesting, manual punching down (stir the grapes during maceration to extract the aromas) no sulphites before the end of the fermentation and aging at 80% in new oak barrels for one year and 20% in vats . All in Biodynamics of course!
Grenache and Mourvèdre grape varieties express their aromas of black fruit (blueberry, blackberry) and spice (pepper). The aging in new barrels gives an assumed woody tone, with aromas of smoke and toasted bread . The acidity is low and the tannins are present.
A superb wine, which is one of those pearls of the new Languedoc which is gaining in reputation. A wine for immediate consumption, but also with A wine for immediate consumption, but also with good aging potential.

Regularly rewarded, the 2018 vintage received the Gold medal in the Décanter competition.

An exceptional value for money.
