Philippe Gilbert - White 2017
THE Sauvignon blanc from Philippe Gilbert's domain. Aged in stainless steel vats on lees in order to transmit all the fruit and character of the Menetou-Salon terroir.
The color is lemon yellow and the nose is frank, focused on citrus fruits. On the palate, the wine is straight and expresses a beautiful freshness. We will find there the typical mineral side of limestones dating from the Kimmeridgian (150 million years) of Menetou-Salon and aromas of citrus fruits, but also white peach. The aging on lees transmits a discreet buttered side . In short, a delight!
